Dubai Added 7% More Health Facilities in Six Months. What That Means for Your Clinic

Dubai now has 5,931 licensed health facilities and 70,566 licensed health professionals. In the first half of 2026, the number of facilities grew 7% and the number of professionals grew 6.5% compared with the same period last year, according to figures reported by Emirates 24|7.

For a patient, that means more choice. For a clinic, it means more competition for the same patient, every month.

Who feels the growth first

When a market grows this fast, clinics that rely on location and word of mouth feel the change first. New facilities open nearby. Patients compare options before they book. Advertising costs rise for the same keywords. A clinic that looked well established two years ago is now one of many options on a patient's screen.

The regulator is watching more closely

The same data shows a second shift. DHA inspection and monitoring visits rose 36.3% year on year, and compliance improved to 80%. The regulator is paying closer attention, including to how clinics advertise. A strong campaign that breaks the rules can cost a clinic more than it earns.

Three things that matter more in this market

The first is knowing which patients a clinic is competing for, and where the real gap in the market sits. Without that, extra spend simply buys more of the same visibility as everyone else.

The second is keeping the patients a clinic already has. A returning patient costs less than a new one, and in a crowded market, retention protects revenue when acquisition gets more expensive.

The third is advertising within the rules. Clear, compliant communication keeps a clinic visible and protected at the same time.

How we work on this

At BRANDAY, we work on all three with private clinics in the UAE: market research, retention systems, and communication that follows DHA standards.

A growing market rewards clinics with a strategy. It makes it harder for the rest.
